Re: [AMC-list] what is this car/77 amx, 65-83 amxs

The car is a 77 Hornet AMX, identical to the one I recently sold see in here:
http://www.planethoustonamx.com/my-amcs-for-sale.htm
yes looks like flairs missing, not uncommon as they commonly fell off especially the front air dam. Same dam used for 78 Concord AMX, then AMC got tired of replacing them on customer's cars and changed design for 79-80 with split front spoiler so it would not blow off at 70+mph. On AMXs that was a long running name from 1965 (prototype shown in November 1065)

to 1983 there was some form of AMX out there. Missing years in US models include 75-76 Matador AMX VAM (shown in 1975)

then resurrected like the one in the craigslist ad in US markets with Hornet AMX. 78 Concord AMX, 79-80 Spirit AMX, then VAM 81-83 AMX. So long running name AMX.

What is this car?
Looks like a 77 AMX alright. Front spoiler/fender flairs missing?
Oh. I didn't realize they made AMX's in 1977. I thought they stopped in the early 70j's.
