Dealers like that where the stock rarely changes I assume they're out-of-this-world on price.  That 77 AMX has been sitting outside forever and needs everything gone over.  In my mind it would be a good value to a restorer due to completeness at about $800-$1200.  But it will be $10k or more to restore and the day the final polish goes on it it will only be worth $7500.  Few collectors/restorers want to start out an extra $1500 in the hole.

Last time I spoke to the dealer he was asking $2500.

Way high.
