[AMC-list] Pot Metal Seat Buttons

In some of the 66 Ambassador 990 models there are pot metal seat buttons on the vinyl upholstery.  There are 4 on each front seat and 4 on each side of the rear seat. (Total 16)  The ones in my vehicle have rusted over the years due to the 25+ years of storage.

Anyone have any ideas for refinishing the buttons or perhaps does anyone have all 16 buttons in useable condition?

While I would like to reupholster somewhat original, it these potmetal seat buttons become more trouble than they are worth, I will do without them.

Any suggestions?
