Re: [AMC-list] Selling toys, bummer

Campers gone. A really nice kid from Alabama came over with his
girlfriend (or wife, I didn't ask) and picked it up. He's involved in
scouting and goes camping one weekend a month. He had an Apache Raven,
even smaller and lighter! Then went up to a 3900 pound huge popup with
slide outs and king size beds. Big camper took a truck (with poor gas
mileage) to haul. So he was looking for another Apache he could pull
with a small car.

I was very happy to see it go to someone who knows that make and model
camper, knows how to set it up and strike it, and will use it every
month. My wife was surprised at first that I was selling it - but I
only used it rarely. She can't go camping, but can come with us if I
rent a cabin. So - campers gone. Guys only weekends may or may not be
done (still have a tent). But family camping in cabins is a big
possibility.

All in all, not bad. Especially if I can include the whole family when
we head out for a weekend. And the Rambler gets garage space again.
