Now a friend was telling me about a web site that he uses to do just that! When he wants to buy something far off he goes to the site and sees who needs something hauled out that way. He picked up a Gremlin from southern California a few years ago that way. Posted that he had a car trailer capable of hauling 10,000 pounds going that way, and got a call a few days later. When the load was arranged he got half payment before he started, the rest when he arrived. Got paid for most of the trip to go get the Gremlin! Did this for several closer trips also. Now I can't remember the website! I thought it was "You-Haul", but searching doesn't get anything but "U-Haul" info and similar junk. The webs so commercialized nowadays you can't find anything unless it's some big corporation selling something!! --------------- Date: Fri, 10 Sep 2010 23:09:28 +0000 (UTC) From: Wrambler<wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx> No Eddie, That's a 66 and if someone can get it on a truck headed this way, I'll take it... Anyone headed past Texas on the way to WestVirginia:) Probably need an empty trailer and all that stuff... -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
