Re: [AMC-list] Gremlin 3 speed treans questionb

" Have someone looking for lockout plate and we are sending the whole
" transmission. They are looking for a Borg Warner T14 3-speed trans.
" How do we tell the difference. Se read that the 75-76 uses a
" different one than 77-78 (larger). Any details to look for to know
" for sure which is which?

'76 was the last year for t14s, in gremlins only afaik. the '77-8 3sp
['75-up in most amcs/jeeps] is the tremec t150 ex-ford toploader,
completely different from pilot bushing to output yoke. parts for
that ought to be easy to find, and if they're running a floor shift a
4sp ford toploader is a trivial swap.

the t14 extension case and probably tranny mount loc changed, but all
'72-later have the same mainshaft with fine tf904 output spline.
['68-'71 have coarse bw spline]
