There's even diode kit out there somewhere to stop some alts from drawing down batteries. Forget the application, but it does exist.

There's something drawing current with the car off.

Turns out -- it's my new Mitsubishi alternator! It is drawing 1/4 amp from
the SENSE line! Sheesh!
