on the Donohue. You just got a price break on the Machine when ordered as a package. I

And a slight price break on 'package' if ordered together. However, not all probably did, 
just like people order base AMXs then load them up at dealer with Group 19

stuff, of which usually cost them less than ordering a bona fide super stock. It didn't 
make it a super stock AMX, but damned close with all the goodies. On the 71 Matty Machine, 
no decals, no scoop, just looked like any regular Matador, my 71 Matador I tried to sell 
since Nixon administration that had 14,000 original miles (shown here at the aMO nationals 
in Houston in 2001, no buyers for $3500, drieve it home, yawn)

After reproducing a dozen Rebel Machine scoops I did 'set' one on the hood so a fellow in 
Mexico could see what it looked like, granted, not bolted down, but good image:

and then made my own 72 Matador 'machine' with that 401/AT 46,000 mile car

but yes, you could a la cart stuff, and well, no one would know anyhows, then or now.
