so, on the old style pump, put a t-fitting in the cover hole where the oil
would go to the filter. say 1/2 or so line with a pressure valve in it. make
you a port in the top of the pan, and have your "pressure releif" dumping
back into the pan. only problem, what would work for an inline pressure
valve. i think 1/2" line would be enough to not overpressure the filter.
