Re: [AMC-list] LEAD: CAR FOR SALE: 64 Rambler Typhoon

I don't know... could be, but then the guy just might not be willing to put the marketing effort in for what he thinks will be a low budget car. You close enough to find out, maybe call the guy? If we had more details, and maybe a report from a fellow lister, we might be able to find a good home for the car. At $3500 if it runs and moves but needs work, say engine or interior is tired, it's still a good deal! Body looks solid, but it could be rusted underneath. No way to know without looking!

I've been watching this ad for months as I survey the california craigslist sites looking for bargains for which I have no room. IMHO the seller is either naive or a dope or both. He doesn't put good pictures of the car on the ad. There's no interior pictures. The colors are washed out on the pictures he has. He hasn't tried to sell the car on Ebay which is a sign that he's not willing to spend even 60 or 80 bucks to market the car. His price has fluctuated which always makes me think he's playing a game. Ads get stale on cragslist. I think many people monitor it daily and will overlook an ad that's been there for weeks or months. They naturally think there is something wrong with the car.
