I wonder if they are using that universal bell housing system that has been on the market for several years. That system requires that you cut off the old bellhousing too, but you bolt the replacement unit on in place of the removed one. 

A strong (relatively inexpensive) overdrive transmission would definitely be an asset if you are planning to spend much time actually driving your car and not just polishing it.
