I thought about that but am afraid I might ruin it. At this point I just want to finish it so I can drive it. 
   If I could figure out a way to heat it from the backside and get a uniform stretch in the driver side toe kick I'd do it. After a lot of adjustments I got it set so I get full throttle and it is not wrinkled.  
    Tonight I probably have to stop and do brakes on the 98 Altima... 
   I'm getting close though.

Last year I was watching one of the car shows and they were redoing an interior including carpet. They used a heat gun to reform some spots of their molded carpet that were a little off and had good looking results. Don't know if that will apply to the type of carpet you have though.
