That's an axle seal, not the pinion seal. The one I have here and is known to be the right one, is a National 6855 N (the N I believe, is for National). I checked the National Seals (Federal-Mogul) site and came up with nothing. I bet the RockAuto seal is an axle shaft seal, not the stepped pinion shaft seal.

Here's a picture of the 5778 seal supposedly.  And there are details about what it fits.  Althought I don't think they got the AMC cars quite right.
