A minor nit to pick: the 66-69 block deck height is something like 1/16" shorter than 70-91. Not critical by any means, doesn't make much difference in total width at all -- less than 1/8", and no difference in mounting. I don't think anyone could take a casual look at an early and late engine and determine which is which. Parts interchange, so things that might give a hint (like distributors) are often swapped around and are pretty meaningless for ID. I've seen 360s posing as 390s when the 390 was blown beyond repair and a replacement not found in time or at the price the owner wanted to pay. Just swap the correct year parts on the later block and no one is likely to notice.

Yes....all newer blocks are the same size.......1966 to 1991.....290..343..390..304..360..401
