I went to a local car show two weekends ago. Plenty of expensive, shiny cars. They looked great - a lot of time, effort, care and expense. Saw a lot of muscle cars. Saw a lot of hotrods. Saw some really nice two-door hardtops. A couple military jeeps. Some well-restored, well presented pick-ups. A few rat rods. Then there was a small section of some four door sedans together. I didn't write down the name of the car club, nor did I take pics (left the camera at home). But the cars were pretty cool. Just your basic early fifties sedans. No shiny paint. No shiny chrome. No leather interiors. No crate motors. Just your basic straight sixes in four door sedans that had lived long lives. Faded paint. Some rust. But they all ran. I thought it pretty cool. It looked like the emphasis was on inexpensive fifties American iron. I liked it. _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
