Mine leaks too, and for some reason everyone I come across is corroded. Plus
there's that oddball thermostat size.

I'm thinking that we need a custom replacement part that (1) accepts the
7266 hose perfectly and (2) allows use of a modern thermostat. It's a pipe
on a flat flange, it's not rocket science. I might make one. The only thing
not 100% obvious to fabricate is an adapter ring to shim up for the smaller
diameter newer thermostat.
