[AMC-list] Small, inexpensive, trucks

Don't blame the manufacturers, they build what the public wants. I too remember the cheap, stripped, pickup trucks. Guys would buy them as a second vehicle to drive to work and maybe haul a little on weekends. These same guys had a loaded car with all of the finer things like a/c, power everything, etc. It did get hot driving that stripped pickup to work so he added air, then p/s, then auto trans, and pretty soon you have an expensive luxury pickup. Who's fault is that? I expect Ford, GM, or Chrysler will make you a stripped pickup but who wants one? They build what they can sell.
