Sounds a little extreme to me.  In addition to it being like riding around with an extra passenger
all the time, it also has a low gear.  If you're going to end up driving it like a 5-speed anyway,
why not the cheaper and more common 4500?

I'm thinking about putting one of these transmissions in my '82 J10 stepside I recently acquired.
(since it will be a daily driver, the low axle gears and T18A won't make $3 a gallon gasoline fun to
put in) T5 is too weak for my 360 (I will probably put my '77 AMX 304 in there later)
