Those spindles are also used on the cars at Disneyworld in Magic kingdom.
The speedway or whatever it is called.
Somewhere in the park it mentions using "Nash" spindles because they were a bolt on spindle and easy to adapt.
I have never junked an AMC with spindles in place.
Might need those someday!

AMC spindles are used to make utility trailers (or used to be) so the arguments below have credence.   Rollin' rollin' rollin' on the river.
