Wear causing "chatter" type binding? Is the carb hot to touch when it 
sticks closed? (then it's not actual ice!) With it stuck closed, does a 
RAP! with a screwdriver unstick it (binding)? Is the choke butterfly 
really stuck, or does it flop free when you touch it with your finger? 
etc... those are what I would do.
