This is just a suggestion. I understand you may want to keep the carb
original, but because of all the pain you're
going through now, would you consider converting the choke to manual, or at
least fabricate a manual pull off.
Otherwise keep going over the carb, there has got to be some minute detail
you've missed that is affecting the choke
operation. Fortunately for me I've never had this problem, but then again it
leaves me worried when it will happen to me
too! and I don't know the solution.
