I'm like 99.9% sure that 82 will have the valves.
I love those things!
Makes it very easy to pull and engine when you don't have to pump down the entire system!

They put the valves on all the 70's units and the 80's up till around 92-93 IIRC when they went to R134a.
AMC, Jeep, Renaults and IIRC Ford and Chrysler used them from time to time. I don't think GM ever bothered with them as they probably added a $1 or 2 to the cost of a car and that adds up quick.
Hmmm, maybe we just figured out what put AMC out of business! Those pesky convenient A/C valves!
