I'm not close to Tampa so I can't help there, but there is a wealth of helpful people and information at www.toyotanation.com. I have a 2000 Camry and two other friends own a 96 and 97 Camry. They all still run great. I'm a bit stunned that yours seems to have exploded simply driving down the road. Mine died unexpectedly a couple of years ago when my timing belt broke. But that was my fault. I was incorrectly told that the belt should be changed at 80K miles when actually Toyota recommends every 60-65K. Mine broke at 81K :). But the valves never meet the pistons on a Camry, so just a new belt and I was on my way. Could an old belt on your Camry have slipped timing? Also the water pumps go bad and have to be changed often. We just add that item every time we put on a belt. The pump will make noise and die if let go long enough. Good Luck!
