Mine are either from a different manufacturer or the Classic/Ambo shades are different. The American has a steel channel whereas the Classic/Ambo has extruded aluminum. Come to think of it, I believe the 64-65 American part number is different than the 63-66 Classic/Ambo. The doors are the same on both, but the window frames, of course, are different. The frames are at least close to the same shape, but I can't say if they could be interchanged or not, only that they will bolt in place of one another (because the doors are the same).

The set I have is held on with clips that go between the window channel 
and the window frame. The directions say to pull the channel out of the 
frame, install the vent shades, and put the channel back into place.
