Re: [Amc-list] Stupid question of the day

Hey, the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask!!

There is no hardware. The problem is most likely worn window track seals. The seals hold the vents in place. I replaced all the metal lined seals in my 63 Classic with all rubber seals as used on later cars. My vent shades stay in place fine... except for one that wants to slip about 1/8" down in the front. Not enough to worry about though, it won't fall out.

For Christmas, my loving wife bought me a set of vent shades from American Parts Depot to be used on my 1965 American.? I went to put them on today, (it's 65 degrees in Chicago today !!!) and the fit into the window channel but will not stay in place.? The set appears to be an NOS set.? My question is ...I don't thik there should be any hardware but does anyone remember if the came with any sort of mounting adhesive strips ?? I used to put these on all of my cars in the 1970's but don't remember ever having a problem keeping?them in place.
