I have no problem paying for parts and the seller is free to ask 
whatever they want. Based on price and other factors, I can make a 
decision and buy it or not. I'd would be great if you could pick up NOS 
fenders for the price listed in the collision parts books of that era 
but I don't expect that to happen.

What I do have a problem with is calling a place and getting a price for 
a 69 Rambler part and then the price jumps when they find out it's for a 
SC/Rambler. It's even worse when it's a cash only business on a Saturday 
since it makes it that much more difficult (and expensive for they 
buyer) to get the money. Unless the quote they gave the guy was really 
old, they should have honored it.

Leon has gotten wise to the prices of AMC stuff via Ebay, so you won't fool him about value when it comes to buying things. And, he doesn't HAVE to sell it, either. he's only overpriced when it comes to Pick-n- Pull comparisions, sure, but if you truly need a part, then you won't hardly find a better place locally to get it but there. The days of cheap antique parts prices there are long gone. But at least he still has parts around, many yards don't. Good hunting, and happy holidays...tell him Hi from the Gremlin guy.
