[Amc-list] My oldest son paid attention - the perfect gift

Christmas was a nice day. I did a little too much cooking, so may need
to invest in a seat belt extender for my American (no! but you know what
I mean).

We were happily exchanging gifts, and my oldest son's gift to me was Pat
Foster's "AMC Cars 1954 - 1987" book! How cool is that! He thought about
what I liked. He checked local bookstores, then went online and found
just the right thing. I was very happy!

In looking through it, he decided he REALLY liked the Hornet Hatchback.
We discussed his monthly payments on his old Saturn Ion, and his monthly
payments on his Mazda Miata - and that since he helped with most of the
work on the American, he could probably save up, buy a Hornet for cash
and get it running.

Heck - he likes SCCA Solo II parking lot racing around the pylons. That
might be fun in a Hornet or a Spirit.
