AHA! OK, that makes more sense! So the short answer is, the intake valve 
stays open until back-flow occurs -- which is very late -- 20% into the 
start of compression -- IF! there's a big-a** supercharger pushing air 
in. WIthout the compressor it would be reversion. With, reversion is 
delayed.
