Re: [Amc-list] 390 vs. 401 crank casting numbers ....

I've got SOME of the casting numbers (all I could find!) in "The Red, White & Blue Book". I've got four 390 and seven 401 numbers. Post the number here and I'll see if I have it and post back.

Hey guys,
Got news that the crank for my 304 stroker may indeed be a 401 crank, instead of the 390 crank ... which changes things a bit ... by +10 CID and perhaps a few $$$$ for the stroker build.
?
Does anyone on the list have casting numbers for the 390 and 401 cranks?
?
I bought this crank from Kenedy back around 1993 or 1994 for $390, new in the box with AMC bearings.? It is the earlier "BW" crank, which I had the adapter machined into the rear flange,?for the 727 tranny.? Also had it cross drilled.
?
Thanks for the information, guys!
