Same as the rotors on the small cars -- 11" (10.82"). To use 12" rotors you'll either need real low profile rotors or 16" wheels. Hmmm.... the 11" rotors will clear 14" wheels (stock steel, I don't think they clear a thick 14" cast wheel, they barely cleared my 15" aluminum wheels years ago), so you may get the 12" to fit with 15" steel wheels. --------------- Date: Thu, 30 Oct 2008 15:36:28 +0000 From: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx The rotors on the big spindle car are how big? For 12" rotors I'd look at 90's Crown vic or 2002 Ford Explorer 2wd. I believe the Explorer 2wd rotor is supposed to be the smaller of the two and more likely to work. I know a guy over on one of the forums used the Crown vic rotors and have since heard that the explorer is a direct fit too but slighty smaller in diameter. To use either of these you need to find drum brake spindles and knock the drums off. I plan on investigating the Explorer rotor at some point in the near future for possible use on the conv. I was going to go with redrilled 99-04 WJ rotors, but the Explorers won't need redrilled for the correct bolt pattern. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
