Re: [Amc-list] Sound mats and belts

My front floorpans are glassed. They were solid but the jute backing on the rubber matt let the moisture perforate them. So I tried Dick Datsons method and after close to 10 years now they are still solid as a rock.
I figure for the usage it will see I will try a roll on aplication, just have to figure out which is the best going by other peoples experience.
If it peels or flakes I can scrap and touch it up.
The Grace Ultra is not thicker but rather it has a butyl adhesive base instead of the standard adhesive, so it holds up to heat better. If I can't get it at a decent price I may just use the regular dam and see how it holds up.
Or, if I'm running low at that point I'll buy one of the better grade acoustic peel and sticks for the doors as they are either all butyl or have the butyl adhesive, that's why I want to see if the Grace ultra is available here.

The good thing to help is the American is white. That should help keep panel temps down some in the sun.
