In the pic Joe shows the line running directly to the head from the main oil galley, just two 90s and the line. The 65 TSM shows the oil line coming from the front cam bearing in the side of the block just above the main oil galley. That's where the first cam bearing journal meters flow to the head. Looks like Joe has an earlier block without the passage to the front cam journal. Obviously AMC decided that metering was necessary, so I wonder how this will work? Joe, keep an oil pressure gauge on that engine and watch it for a while. It may not pump enough oil through that line to flood the head and cause leaks or oil burning or starve the bearings. If oil pressure stays good enough is getting back to the pan, you'll know if you have leaks or oil burning issues, of course!
