Yeah, it's a pain in the arse for the buyer!
He will have to deal with paperwork and value.
I tried to do a reverse deal with a blown head gasket Ford Super Coupe and the deal they had for this way was I had to take the car to Pittsburgh, Pa for evaluation before I could pay all the fees and taxes! Since they would not even tell me a ballpark without me towing the car to them, I passed on the car as the seller wanted too much for a parts car and I wasn't wil to chance fixing it without the title being in my hands.
Since I believe you have the paperwork on the car at least you wil have somethign ahead.

I'd offer to provide all paperwork they might need up there as far as bills of sale etc; Let them deal with any farther headaches!
