Bruce the flood car was a bum deal off of ebay. I bought it sight unseen other than some pictures. The sleer represented it as a loaded parts car, which it is/was. he also told me the water had stopped short of getting up into the dash, when in reality it has been totally submerged, mud in the speedo etc; I contacte him and he said, "oh well you'll still get some good parts off of it" ! Since I bought it around ebays official sales route after the auction closed I had no recourse that was going to get me much of anything. The car is to far gone to save, rocker panels full of mud, everything full of mud! The car was in shop for a timing chain and the front cover was off the 327. There is so much mud in the oil pan the engine only turns over a 1/4 turn in both directions! I had thought i would perhaps do something cool and or unsual with the body once the convertible was done, but it si way to rough to even contemplate making a workable car out of. It would be long gone if I had not broken myself 2 years ago! I would never recomend anyone buy a flood car without first and inspection! There is stuff to be found you will never think of without seeing it first hand! Truthfully if this car had not been so rusted before the flood I would have attempted to save it. It was absolutley loaded! 990H, 2dr hardtop. 327, 4 bbl auto, floor shift with console. Buckets. rear armrest Power windows front and rear! AM-FM with reverb! The only things missing was disc brakes, which the convertibal has! and electric wipers, it has vacuum Plus it was my favorite color combo White with black interior. It even had wire wheelcovers. Shame it is way to far gone to save. I still intend to add all the options I can get working to the convertible! The reverb unit is dead, but I'm still going to mount the controls. I am looking for a rebuilder for the power windows without much luck so far, the motors are froze. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrac II " I realize that death is inevitable.
