the 351C heads will bolt right on to the 400 motor. you would use the 400 intake. they are real close to the same motor. the C has 1/2" less stroke. uses same rods/pistons as 400. (400 pistons have dish to drop compression to around 8-8.5) the 400 is just over an inch taller deck height, and has little better main bearing journals. all parts interchange except intake, and crank.

the 400 has a 4" stroke, and i have been told that the stock heads for them flow well. port match is about all you want to do i guess. 351C heads are bigger ports. they say the velocity goes down with the bigger ports and with that long stroke you actually lose efficiency i guess. i dunno.
