[Amc-list] economy.....

Hey guy's and gal's Everyone has been quiet about the economy and how it's going to affect value of your car if you have to sell it.
Needless to say, all markets are drying up right now because there's no money around. For the short term, anyway, only wealthy people who buy and sell high-end cars will continue to do so. The rest of us will have to garage our collectibles until better days come around. There simply aren't many ordinary people out there willing to risk any of their liquid assets on an old car, at least right now.

There will be some out there who can't afford to keep their collector cars and these will be sold at prices less – far less, perhaps - than they would like. There's a difference between buying a house and buying a house that's on fire, and the classic cars coming up for sale in the near future are sure to be greeted by a ruthless buyers' market. I'm reminded of the classic car bubble that occurred after the 1987 stock market bust and the subsequent sell-off of cars that people paid way too much for. This is from an article in Milwaukee examiner.
