Re: [Amc-list] Progress, sort of

Call your local Vo-tech school.
They usually have adult evening classes in things like this.
Makes for an easy way to learn to weld and depending on the scope of the class they will sometimes let you bring in your own stuff.

My next thing if I feel up to it is too learn tig.
Not, sure I will attempt it though as my shoulder is not exactly liking this.

I keep trying to convince myself it will get better...but it ain't looking good, or feeling good!

I learned to weld at what is now a Wyotech, was Vale tech in Blairsville, Pa back in 1980 when I went.
We did gas welding by torch then, that was it, mig was too newfangled and expensive!
I bought my first mig around 1998 for $200 as a refurb at BigLots of all places!
I replaced it with a better model of discontinued Century/Craftsman from a scratch and dent place for $225.
Sold the first one for $150.
My welder is a cheapy from a pro standard, but it does a good job with fully adjustable power and feed rates.

Ah, well, I'm rambling.
