Sorry Mark, didn't mean to insinuate that won't work/can't be done! You stated it would be hard to find someone who still balances front tires on the car though. I agree -- I only know one shop that MIGHT still have the equipment, but don't know if they would do it/have anyone who knows how!!

I'll bite.
Why can the imbalance not be corrected if the tire/wheel/drum are balanced as one???
They are bolted together.
Effectively making them one piece.
You'd have to mark a lug and maintain the same placement.
