I know all about return lines.
When I ran mine I decided to run 3/8" both ways so I bought a roll of it.
What a PIA.
 You don't realize how hard it is to find room for 3/8 fule line till you run it!
Then do it twice!
  I wanted it setup so I would not have to think twice about the fuel line, no matter what engine I put in the car later.
