i read something somewhere [the fms catalog?] that car and truck 8.8s
have different housing ends.  this could be something like the old 9"
small-bearing/big-bearing thing.  if true --
the bad news: mustang rear disks wouldn't bolt on
the good news: exploder disks would
or maybe you could use exploder brackets with mustang calipers and
rotors.

the fms torsen diff is pricy [though not bad for a torsen], but would
be real tempting if you were building for performance...
