Re: [Amc-list] Cheap brake conversion

I know the feeling, I keep looking at the later model Mustang stuff for rear discs to go an the Ranger 8.8, which I don't have yet. The local yard that showed having one online has not contacted me. I'm waiting till Wednesday to try them again before looking elsewhere. Anyway, what I was saying is that if the 8.8 has 10X1.75" rear drums and they are in good shape I will have a hard time footing the bill to go discs that will likely do nothing much for stopping the back half of a 69 American over the 10" brakes!
Now if those drums come in shot and needing all new gear, well then I will probably put the discs on.
