Hi.....
Not sure what all you are wanting......if you want to keep a 2bl carb 
then I would
go with a 1981  4.2 intake...you may have to redo the linkage.....you 
can find
the best 4.2 intake from an 81 to 87 AMC car/ Eagle  or 81 to 90 Jeep CJ 
or Wrangler...
these days probably  easier  to find them on a Jeep.....they do show up 
on e-bay sometimes
when a Jeeper is changing over to a V8.....or your local pick a part 
........

..if you have money to spend and want more HP and plan to race it then I 
would go with the Clifford intake and shorty header but they are not 
cheap...with a small 4bl carb Holley 390 and a bigger cam.....

On the 87 4.2 in my Spirit.....it has a Clifford intake and split long 
tube header...with a
Holley 390 carb set fore and aft....works good....also the head was 
milled ( .060 ) a
little to much as I have to run hi-test gas to keep it from pinging.....

I looked for other 4.2  car headers but could not find any.........keep 
checking on e-bay....
they do show up from time to time...........
