IIRC,, type F is less slippery, it allows clutches to grab faster and harsher. The reason racers used it in years past.
I've heard that B&M's blue trickshift is or was not much more special then Type F colored blue!
   I've used and seen it used in all manners of rear drive trans over the years. A lot of the old shift kits even spec'd moving to type F. 
    However, I beleieve that it is not very good when compared to the newer fluids and their antifoaming properties etc;
I don't use it in anything I have. I used the last of it I had here in my dads logsplitter when he blew a fitting splitting wood at my place! Well actually the splitter blew the fitting, though my dad has been leaking at the seams for years now...
