HOLY CRAPTACTICAL, BATMAN!!

Wee! I totally forgot that I had to slide the engine BACKWARDS two
inches to make it fit -- I drilled new holes in the front crossmember to
accomodate the new motor mount position! See photos. Some combination
of 1965, T-96 to M35, 195.6 aluminum to 232, ... the motor had to go
backwards. Keep in mind I did this swap, cold, in 1989. No internet,
just a TSM and one AMC junkyard. I just juggled parts 'til it worked.

There's my room. OK that solves the major geometry problem.

I even have an empty clutch pedal swinging on the floor of this car...
I'm missing the Z-bracket and other parts but I can find or make those.

OK, this sounds like a doable project now. I even have enough spares to
mock most things up without disassembling the car. Wish I had a spare rear.
