I agree, one of my biggest regrets is going with the used windshield in my American.
It looked good and I was broke so I put it in, but it is hazy from years of wetaher and wipers.
I'd change it out, but I've got it sealed and it does not leak at all so I hate to mess with a good thing.
   Get new glass if it's available! 
It's worth it.
    L.O.F used to have most windshields available.
CHECK with regular auto glass places first as their prices are usually lower then the specialty shops and it is often the SAME windshield!
