Thanks on the congrats! Like I said on the ramps, mine are 25 years old +- never thought about the newer ones, but your right they probably are marginal in quality at best. I've NEVER owned a split tube jackstand in my life!!! I won't either, I use nothing but GOOD heavy ones. They cost me like $90+ a pair back in the 80's for the one set. The other set is made by bear alignement IIRC and are welded and very wide based, too wide as they are a PIA to roll around, but they ain't going to collapse any time soon! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> > Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > > 5 beer day. > > My sons graduation party, still going on... > > My birthday! > > Congratulations! > > > > When you do the fronts, don't hang the front wheel when you unbolt the shocks. > > I do shocks with the car simply sitting on the ground.
