Tom J. will get in on this I suspect as he had the same issues.
The aftermarket in it's infinite stupidity crossed over an oil pressure switch to a brake light switch IIRC.
Leaving you all with crap switches that fail in weeks due to exposure to brake fluid!

There is a supplier [Hotrod shop?] that knows this and has the correct switches from somewhere.
Try a search on Amcyclopedia and see if it comes up.
I remember it was a one of the specialty suppliers that Tom found had the RIGHT switch.
