[Amc-list] pilot bearing

Did some more cyphering on the pilot bearing into the 4.0L needed for the swap to the Ford trans.
The exterior of the adapter ring for going into the rear of the 4.0L seems to be 1.81" going by Andrews number.
I found the replacement timken bearing for into the adapter to be exactly 1.00".
A Ford Timken bearing to go into a crank of 1992 5.0L is 1.45", so unless I can find a correct bushing with a 1" exterior I will probably have the adapter opened up to accept the 1.45" Ford bearing.
Anyone know if it is a good idea to take that adapter down that thin?
1.81"
1.45"
0.36" hmm that's not a lot of metal left. Perhaps I need to look a little more.
Might be a better idea just to go for a T150 bushing and have it machined to the press fit for into the 1" I.D of the adapter.
What's the Pilot hole on a 258?
I guess I should go look...
