Re: [Amc-list] it's here (2000 4.0L intake)

HA! I got mine a week ago, and bought it after you did! It's not all polished, but looks brand new. I'm going to remove one of the vacuum nipples off the side and tap the hole for a screw, retaining the old style Renix throttle cable/linkage. Might have to drill somewhere else and/or make a brace too. Thought about changing it all over to the new style, but think retaining the old will be easier in the long run. I'm planning on waiting until later this summer or early fall to get a 91-96 HO head and rebuild it, then install the 2000 intake and bored Renix throttle body. Have to enlarge the hole in the intake by 1/4" diameter to fit the TB I have. Also need to richen the fuel mixture with the adjustable MAP, already run 24# injectors.

My almost shiney 2000 up intake arrived today.
Finally after some delay in shipping.
The guy did a nice job on the polishing.
He's got it 90% plus finished.
All I need to do is a little block sanding and I'd like to removed the bosses on the side and give it a final polish and it is done.
The pics on ebay were spot on. The guy did not mess it up at all.
I was a bit nervous of what I would find, but it is a nice prep job!
I paid him an extra $20 and he sent the P/S pump, Throttle cable bracket and the idler pulley and bracket.
