I think the thing to do with a dash transplant would be to
take the opportunty to go all modern guts. Vintage Air style
AC/heater, for example. Use only the defrost vents on the Rambler
part. The Vintage Air heater does the smart cool-then-heat so
you can run A/C and heat to get warm, dry air for defrosting
like a modern car.

Modern gauges like you did would be a no brainer with the dash
on the bench!
